RuPaul’s Drag Race season 14 star Kornbread Jeté shared her recent cancer diagnosis with fans on 25 September.

The performer opened up about her diagnosis on her Instagram.

“Recently I was diagnosed with adenocarcinoma. A type of cancer in the smaller intestine,” she wrote.

“I’m 100% fine and everything is in the early stages so I’ll be back to my normal self in no time. Absolutely curable!”

The star implored her 384,000 followers to get themselves checked.

“I say this to let everyone know that no matter how young you are, please get regular check ups. I’m glad I caught mine at this stage.”

Kornbread, who’s also known as The Snack, was forced to leave RuPaul’s Drag Race due to an injury.

The 30-year-old was a frontrunner throughout her season of the competition.

Following her early departure from the show, fans expected to see The Snack return for season 15.

However, she confirmed she would not be returning, and had not been recruited for a future All Stars season either.

Kornbread has since gone onto star in Hocus Pocus 2, which completed this year.

The star has planned to be back performing soon.

“A lot of health things will be changing for me and I’m grateful for all the support!” she said.

“Ready to get back to the stage again! Much love -KB.”

Several Drag Race alumni showed their support following her announcement.

Season 13 star Kandy Muse wrote: “I love you.”

Season three winner and All Stars 7’s Raja sent: “much love to you baby girl”.

Kasha Davis, LaLa Ri, Kitty Scott-Claus, Kita Mean, The Vivienne, Trinity the Tuck and Symone also showed their support.
