Pop singer Becky Hill revealed that she went to an all-girls sex party to explore her sexual identity.

Back in 2021, the Lose Control singer surprised fans when she announced that she identified as queer.

The British singer, who rose to fame as a contestant on the first-ever season of The Voice UK, revealed the news on Twitter after a fan asked if she’s “come out yet.”

At the time, Becky said she was still not “100%” and is still “figuring” herself out, but added that queer is a term that she resonates with.

“I *think* I’m queer! I’ve definitely felt uncomfortable branding myself as straight, or anything else for that matter, but queer seems to be the most fitting identity for who I am,” she admitted.

Since that fateful day, Hill has remained an open book regarding her sexuality and her coming out journey.

In a recent interview on Shopping with Keith Lemon, the acclaimed singer recalled going to an all-girls sex party after her brief breakup with Charlie Gardner to see if she identified as part of the LGBTQ+ community.

“When we went through a breakup, I ended up going to an all-girls sex party because I wanted to find out… I came out still not knowing. I was like, ‘Did I like that? Did I enjoy that?'” she explained.

Elsewhere in the interview, Hill discussed her first experience with a woman and her mother’s words regarding sapphic relationships.

“My first female experience was when I was 17. I remember my mum saying to me when I was 14, ‘Becky, every woman fancies other woman,'” she said.

“At that point, I was like, ‘Oh my God yeah, I suppose I do fancy other women.’ But I don’t know to what degree I do.”

After telling Lemon that the LGBTQ+ community has “reclaimed” the word queer, the Crazy What Love Can Do singer revealed that she feels more empowered since coming out.

“Ever since I said I think I’m queer, I’ve found my sexual empowerment in terms of being on stage. I’ve [got] dancers with me who are drag queens and drag queens. It feels like a diverse party,” she said.

Since her time on The Voice, Becky has released a string of successful pop anthems including Gecko (Overdrive) with Oliver Heldens, in which she made history as the first (and only) contestant to hit number one in the UK.

Becky has also received acclaim as a songwriter, having written for artists such as Bondax, KStewart, Lindsey Stirling, MNEK, Jax Jones and MistaJam.
