Noah’s Arc fans rejoice! Patrik-Ian Polk has confirmed the return of the groundbreaking series.

Back in the mid-2000s, the beloved Logo dramedy broke major ground for LGBTQ+ representation in media.

Set in Los Angeles, the show followed screenwriter Noah (Darryl Stephens) as he and his group of friends – Alex (Rodney Chester), Chance (Doug Spearman) and Ricky (Christian Vincent) – navigated the gay dating scene in Los Angeles.

At the time, Noah’s Arc made history as the first American drama with a cast of all-Black and gay characters.

In addition to making television history, the series was lauded for shining a light on an array of LGBTQ+ topics – including same-sex marriage, same-sex families, HIV/AIDS awareness, and homophobia.

Despite the show becoming an instant hit with viewers, it was cancelled in 2007 after ending its second season on a massive cliffhanger.

After its controversial cancellation, Noah and the gang returned in 2008 and 2020, with the feature film Noah’s Arc: Jumping the Broom and the web-exclusive reunion special Noah’s Arc: The Rona Chronicles, respectively.

Over the last couple of years, fans have called on Polk and the cast to reunite again for more episodes of the beloved series.

Fortunately, fans won’t have to wait much longer for new Noah’s Arc episodes.

According to a report from Gaye Magazine, Polk confirmed the show’s return while attending Speak Out’s I Am Awards on 22 April.

“I’m very happy to confirm that there is indeed more Noah’s Arc coming,” the P-Valley co-producer said while accepting his lifetime achievement award.

In an additional post on Instagram, Stephens confirmed the news, writing: “You’re about to be sick of us. # Noah’s Arc is coming back. The entire original cast (even the few not in attendance last night).”

Shortly after Polk made his announcement, fans flocked to social media to express their excitement over the show’s return.

One person tweeted: “Noah’s Arc is coming back, so excited for this!!!! I wonder what’s new since Wade & Noah got married? Like what has happened with Alex and Trey, Chance and Eddie, and of course… Ricky… I hope he found love… with Junito!!! I can’t wait!!!”

Another fan wrote: “I’m SCREAMING!!!! Y’all don’t understand how much I’ve love Noah’s Arc and been wanting more!!”

As of this writing, details regarding the new project’s plot and release date have yet to be released.
