Pink has released a fiery new track, seemingly in response to the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.
The protest anthem, titled Irrelevant, sees the star sarcastically hit out at her haters as she sings, “You can call me irrelevant, insignificant / You can try to make me small / I’ll be your heretic, you fuckin’ hypocrite / I won’t think of you at all.”
She continues: “Sticks and stones and all that shit / Does Jesus love the ignorant? / I’d like to think he’d gladly take us all.”
Over the past two weeks, Pink has been in the firing line on social media for condemning the Court’s decision to “steal our basic right to control our bodies and futures”.
She went viral with the following tweet: “Let’s be clear: if you believe the government belongs in a woman’s uterus, a gay persons business or marriage, or that racism is okay – THEN PLEASE IN THE NAME OF YOUR LORD NEVER FUCKING LISTEN TO MY MUSIC AGAIN. AND ALSO FUCK RIGHT OFF. We good?”
In another, she wrote: “I think all of our nerves are collectively fried from so many years of racism, misogyny, homophobia, etc. +pandemics, mass shootings, wars and the total lunacy, hypocrisy, ignorance of the GOP-it’s all a bit much.
“But we will stick together. Good will prevail over evil.”

The Grammy Award winner seemingly addresses Roe v. Wade on Irrelevant with the lyrics, “Girls just wanna have rights / So, why do we have to fight?”
In a statement, Pink said of the track: “As a woman with an opinion and the fearlessness to voice that opinion, it gets very tiring when the only retort is to tell me how irrelevant I am. I am relevant because I exist, and because I am a human being. No one is irrelevant. And no one can take away my voice.”
Proceeds from Irrelevant will be donated to When We All Vote, the national, nonpartisan voting initiative created by Michelle Obama.
It is unknown whether the pop-rock anthem will included on her upcoming ninth studio album – her first since 2019’s Hurts 2B Human.
The album debuted at number one in both the US and UK and spawned the single Walk Me Home, which marked her 20th top 10 single in the UK.
Last year, Pink released her first-ever live album All I Know So Far to accompany her Amazon Prime documentary of the same name.
