Max has released another jam-packed and heartbreaking trailer for Our Flag Means Death season two.

Spoilers ahead.

On 14 September, the popular streaming service surprised fans when they dropped an official trailer for the show’s new batch of episodes.

At the start of the eye-opening sneak peek, a shot of Stede Bonnett (Rhys Darby) lying on the floor flashes across the screen while he reflects on his fractured relationship with Blackbeard (Taika Waititi).

“I’ve let him down, I should have just told him how I feel. I will find him,” he exclaims.

However, Stede’s reconciliation plans are quickly shot down by Oluwande (Samson Kayo), who says that Blackbeard is planning to murder him due to their breakup.

“I didn’t dump him! We’re on a break,” Stede exclaims.

The trailer then transitions to Blackbeard, who’s returned to his old ruthless ways to cope with his broken heart – which includes ship takeovers, drinking and smoking.

“Yeah, I had a very rough night last night,” Blackbeard says. “But it’s a new day. No more booze, no more drugs and more importantly, no more Stede.”

However, his plan gets derailed when he has an awkward run in with the gentleman pirate in a marketplace.

In addition to Stede and Blackbeard’s “will-they-won’t-they” love story, the trailer teases a new posh villain and a first look at Minnie Driver’s queer pirate Anne Bonny.
