The White Lotus creator has some big plans for season 3.
Over the last two years, TV viewers worldwide have immersed themselves in the scandalous HBO series.
Created, directed, and written by Mike White, the satirical comedy-drama follows a group of messy individuals, with different societal backgrounds, during their stay at the luxury hotel chain, The White Lotus.
The first season of the series took place in Hawaii, with the second set in Italy.
Since its debut in the TV sphere, both entries of The White Lotus have earned universal acclaim for their star-studded casts, risqué storylines, LGBTQIA+ representation, and Jennifer Coolidge’s iconic performance as Tanya McQuoid.
The show has also received an array of accolades, including 10 Primetime Emmy Awards and two Golden Globes.
Due to its continued success, HBO renewed The White Lotus for a third season in November 2022.
“Reflecting on The White Lotus’ humble, run-and-gun origin as a contained pandemic production, it’s impossible not to be awestruck by how Mike orchestrated one of the buzziest and most critically acclaimed shows,” HBO Drama Francesca Orsi said in a statement at the time, per TV Line.

“We couldn’t be more thrilled to get the chance to collaborate on a third season together.”
Since that fateful day, fans have eagerly awaited new information about the new batch of episodes.
Fortunately, White spilt some major tea about season three during a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, which was conducted two days before the SAG-AFTRA strike ended.
“I’m seriously finishing scripts… it’s going to be a supersized White Lotus. It’s going to be longer, bigger, crazier,” he teased.
“I don’t know what people will think, but I am super excited, so at least for my own barometer, that’s a good thing… I’m super excited about the content of the season.”
While White didn’t share any news regarding casting – which was due to the strike – we do know that season one star Natasha Rothwell is set to return for the show’s third outing as Belinda Lindsey per Variety.
The Insecure talent also confirmed the news in a post on X(formerly known as Twitter) writing: “Belinda is back baby!!”
Here’s to hoping The White Lotus season three lands on our screens sooner rather than later.
