Attention Sex Education fans! The upcoming fourth season is set to be a supersized affair.

Since September 2021, fans have anxiously awaited the return of the Moordale Secondary gang and their hilarious sex-crazed adventures.

Over the last few months, news regarding the highly anticipated season has slowly started to trickle out – ranging from sneak peek photos, a teaser trailer and a euphoric-looking poster.

However, with the show’s fourth and final season premiere right around the corner, Netflix decided to up the ante by releasing the synopsis’ for all the new episodes.

While the news has been a welcomed surprise for fans, the streamer did make sure to block out key spoilers.

For example, in the first episode of season eight, Maeve, who’s studying abroad in the US, appears to be butting heads with a new character, but their name is blurred out.

The synopsis for episode four hints at a “tragedy” taking place, and the thumbnail for episode seven is entirely blocked out with red ink, aside from Maeve’s face.

But the biggest thing to come out of the latest Sex Education teaser is the movie-length runtime of the show’s series finale.

According to the screenshot, episode eight is set to come in at 83 minutes.

For context, the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre film, Toy Story, The Little Mermaid (1989), What We Do In The Shadows, and Fantastic Mr Fox all have similar run times.

As for the content in episode eight, it appears that an unidentified character has gone missing, and Eric will be discovering something.

“Much like love, truth takes many forms – and it will out,” the synopsis adds reads.

Shortly after Netflix announced the news, fans flocked to social media to express excitement over the jampacked series finale.

One person wrote: “The last episode is 83 minutes oh we’re eating good.”

Another person tweeted: “83 minutes?! Sex Education is Netflix’s favourite child.”

Fortunately, fans won’t have to wait too long for the aforementioned episodes, with their release scheduled for 21 September.

Sex Education season four is set to pick up a few months after Moordale Secondary gets closed down.

As a result, the group begin attending Cavendish Sixth Form College, and of course, chaos ensues.

The official synopsis reads: “Otis is nervous about setting up his new clinic, while Eric is praying they won’t be losers again. But Cavendish is a culture shock for all the Moordale students — they thought they were progressive, but this new college is another level.”

“Viv is totally thrown by the college’s student-led, non-competitive approach, while Jackson is still struggling to get over Cal. Aimee tries something new by taking an Art A Level, and Adam grapples with whether mainstream education is for him.

“Over in the US, Maeve is living her dream at the prestigious Wallace University, being taught by cult author Thomas Molloy. Otis is pining after her, while adjusting to not being an only child at home, or the only therapist on campus.”
