Netflix has released a hilarious new blooper reel for Heartstopper season two.

Back in August, fans were finally treated to the highly anticipated second season of the beloved series.

In the new batch of episodes, Charlie (Locke) and Nick (Kit Connor) “navigate their new relationship” and the pressures of coming out to friends and family.

Tara (Corinna Brown) and Darcy (Kizzy Edgell) endure some “unforeseen challenges,” which stem from the latter’s mysterious family life. Tao (William Gao) and Elle (Yasmin Finney) cautiously work out if they can be more than just friends.

Isaac (Tobie Donovan) goes on a journey of self-discovery by exploring where he fits in the LGBTQ+ spectrum.

Lastly, the second entry follows the tight-knit gang as they travel to Paris on a school trip and plan their end-of-year prom.

Over the last month, Heartstopper season two has received universal acclaim from fans and critics – with many lauding its dynamic storylines and the cast’s wholesome chemistry.

While the show has already been renewed for a third season, there will likely be an extensive wait before viewers get new episodes.

With the long hiatus in mind, Netflix shared a brand new blooper reel from season two to tie fans over.

At the start of the clip, Locke and Connor are smiling at the camera before the former asks: “Have you ever cringed so much in your life?”

While the director asks for them to deliver “full cheese” smiles, Connor playfully replies: “Just enjoy it, Joe.”

Elsewhere in the video, the lovable cast breaks character while filming episode four’s tense Parisian dinner.

Finney and Gao break out into a fit of laughter during a kissing scene and one of the clapperboards malfunctions.

Shortly after the reel was released, fans flocked to social media to praise the silly behind-the-scenes video.

“Who needs therapy when you have Heartstopper season 2 bloopers,” one fan wrote.

Another person tweeted: “I am so in love with this show, and these bloopers are hilarious. Roll on season 3.”

The Heartstopper season two bloopers come a few weeks after the show’s creator – Alice Oseman – revealed new details about the highly anticipated third season.

“In season two we’ve started to explore mental health in a big way. I think it’s pretty obvious from the way we leave the season that is going to be a big element of season three,” they explained to Metro.

“We’re going to continue to look at that in a big way and explore how that affects Nick and Charlie’s relationship, and all of the other friendships in the show.”
