Glamourous star Miss Benny has shared some shocking tea about her time working on Fuller House.

Back in 2018, the young talent made waves when she starred as Casey in Netflix’s sequel series to the original 90s family sitcom.

While her recurring role was the first gay character in the Full House universe, Miss Benny revealed that it almost didn’t happen.

In a recent TikTok post, the 24-year-old opened up about her time on the show after a fan asked if Bure was homophobic on set.

While Miss Benny refrained from mentioning the conservative actress by name, she coyly revealed that the show’s creatives warned her about a “Tanner sister” who wasn’t “for the girls”.

“I remember I got sat down by the writers and the studio to basically warn me how this person allegedly was trying to get the character removed and not have a queer character on the show,” Miss Benny explained.

“I was also sort of warned and prepared that this person’s fanbase may be encouraged to target me specifically. The fact that this teenage actor who’s coming in to make jokes about wearing a scarf is suddenly a target from an adult is crazy to me.”

Miss Benny concluded her video by stating that despite the pushback, her Fuller House appearance led to her role on Glamourous.

“So everything happens for a reason,” she added.

Shortly after uploading her video, fans flocked to the comment section to share their thoughts on her revelation.

One fan wrote: “DJ Tanner and Candace Cameron are 2 completely different people in my world.”

Another one of her followers commented: “If you watch Hallmark movies you know which “Tanner sister” it was.”

Despite Miss Benny never mentioning Bure by name, the latter released a statement to People refuting the claims.

“I never asked Miss Benny’s character to be removed from Fuller House and did not ask the writers, producers or studio executives to not have queer characters on the show,” she said.

“Fuller House has always welcomed a wide range of characters. I thought Miss Benny did a great job as Casey on the show. We didn’t share any scenes together, so we didn’t get a chance to talk much while filming on set. I wish Miss Benny only the best.”

Aside from her Fuller House tea, Miss Benny has had a busy past few weeks due to the release of her beloved LGBTQ+ series Glamourous.

Developed initially as a pilot for The CW, the show follows Marco Mejia( Miss Benny), a gender non-conforming queer person who lands a job at Glamours Cosmetics – which is led by Kim Cattrall’s character Madolyn Addison.

Glamorous also stars Zane Phillips, Jade Payton, Michael Hsu Rosen, Ayesha Harris, Graham Parkhurst, Damian Terriquez, Diana-Maria Riva, Kaleb Horn, Lisa Gilroy, Mark Deklin, Nicole Power and Ricardo Chavira.

Season one is now available to stream on Netflix.
