‘Drag Race’ star Kandy Muse has issued a statement to fans accusing her of being pushed by production after securing her first high placement in the latest episode of ‘All Stars 8’.

The season 13 contestant was in the top during episode three after delivering three looks in ‘The Supermarket Ball’ challenge.

She had previously placed safe in episodes one and two.

Shortly after the episode aired, Kandy took to Twitter to address fans claiming her win was the result of rigga morris.

“I get my first top placement after literally being safe for 2 weeks in a row and suddenly production is pushing me,” she wrote, “bitch it ain’t my fault your fav wasn’t in the top, that ain’t got shit to do with me- go cry about it.”

Replying to the tweet, a troll said it “was hardly even a top placement” and she should have been declared “safe or low”.

Kandy was quick to clapback: “‘it was hardly a top placement’ except….it was a top placement?? same silhouette or not- alone these are 3 strong looks that stand on their own- go cry to your mother about it.”

‘All Stars 8’ premiered on 12 May on Paramount Plus in the US and on WOW Presents Plus in the UK, with the season seeing the return of former finalists, lip-sync assassins and Miss Congenialities.

The fierce line-up is as follows: Alexis Michelle, Darienne Lake, Heidi N Closet, Jaymes Mansfield, Jessica Wild, Jimbo, Kahanna Montrese, Kandy Muse, LaLa Ri, Monica Beverly Hillz, Mrs. Kasha Davis and Naysha Lopez.

Unlike past iterations of ‘All Stars’, the season doesn’t feature many two-time queens bar Jimbo, who competed three times on the first seasons of ‘Canada’s Drag Race’ and ‘UK vs the World’.

She is now the first queen to compete on ‘Drag Race’ in three different countries, as well as the first ‘Canada’s Drag Race’ contestant to compete on the US version of the show.
