Pop star Rita Ora has ushered in her new music era with a jaw-dropping performance at Heaven Nightclub.

On 27 January, the I Will Never Let You Down singer released her infectious pop single, You Only Love Me.

Co-written by Ora and acclaimed producer Lewis Thompson, the romantic track is inspired by the singer’s personal experience of feeling vulnerable in a new relationship while letting go of her past heartbreaks.

With its dance-pop production and heartfelt lyrics, You Only Love Me expertly showcases the talented singer’s growth as an artist and songwriter.

In a statement, Ora gave further insight into the inspiration behind the track and the themes her upcoming album will explore.

“With You Only Love Me and my upcoming album, I wanted to capture the vulnerability I’ve experienced as I opened myself up to love and entered a new phase of life,” she said.

“Learning to let go of the past to make way for new experiences is a deeply personal process, and one I felt compelled to document through my music – the journey was not always easy, but I’ve come out of it stronger and filled with more love than I ever thought possible.”

As a way to usher in her sure-to-be iconic new music era, Ora surprised fans at Heaven Nightclub with an electric performance on 28 January.

Dressed in a fierce asymmetrical see-through dress and backed by four talented dancers, the BRIT-nominated singer performed an array of her greatest hits – including I Will Never Let You Down and Anywhere.

The hitmaker also delivered her first live performance of You Only Love Me while the track’s new wedding-themed music video played in the background.

Shortly after Ora completed her show-stopping gig, fans flocked to social media to praise the singer for her epic music return.

One person tweeted: “RITA ORA PERFORMING IN HEAVEN IS THE PLOT TWIST I NEVER SAW COMING!!!! MY F**KING HEEEAAARRT.”
