Kesha has finally performed her new single ‘Only Love Can Save Us Now’ live for the first time in a showstopping set with Vevo.

She previously worked with the music video network on live renditions of hits ‘Raising Hell’ and ‘Resentment’ in 2020.

“I have had an overwhelming dichotomy of emotions, oscillating between pain and love,” Kesha said of the new song.

“Chaos and love. Fear and love. I wanted my song ‘Only Love Can Save Us Now’ to sonically, lyrically, and emotionally reflect the severity of my mental pendulum swings.

“The world is so overwhelming sometimes. It requires a moment of surrender. The ludicrosity of life can make you crazy.

“If anything, IF ANYTHING, can save us, I believe only love can. This song is a desperate and angry prayer. A call to the light when all feels lost.”

‘Only Love Can Save Us Now’ is an exhilarating experience from start to finish and shows that Kesha has never lost her ability to make industrial strength bops on the level of OG fan favourites such as ‘Your Love Is My Drug’ and ‘We R Who We R’.

It serves as the third single from her fifth studio album ‘Gag Order’ after the star previously released ‘Fine Line’ and ‘Eat the Acid’ simultaneously.

The album’s artwork shows the singer with a plastic bag over her head as if she is being choked.

Fans believe the record is somewhat inspired by her ongoing legal battle with controversial music producer Dr. Luke, who Kesha has accused of physical, sexual and emotional abuse – something he has denied.
