Tayce performed Memory from the musical Cats in honour of Cherry Valentine at the end of the final show of her Assassination Tour.

The Drag Race UK and Queerpiphany star chose to end her final show with a tribute to Cherry Valentine, whose death was announced on 23 September.

The performers lip synced against each other on the show, which led to Valentine’s exit from the series.

They performed Elaine Paige’s classic song, Memory.

Footage from Tayce’s touching performance was promptly put on Twitter, with fans leaving kind words following the emotional tribute.

One fan commented: “UK2 cast really proved that they’re SISTERS the way they’re being supportive to each other, Cherry’s family and the fandom is super heartwarming. As long as they’re with us, Cherry’s legacy will carry on for sure. rest in peace icon.”

“Tayce performing memories in memory of Cherry I am an emotional wreck” wrote another.

One fan noticed that Tayce was wearing the same colours that Valentine wore during their original lip sync.

Thousands of messages have poured in for the late performer and mental health nurse, whose real name was George Ward.

Episode one from the latest fourth season of the UK drag competition has a memoriam slide for Cherry at the end of the credits.

RuPaul, Michelle Visage and many others from the drag community led the tributes following the announcement of Ward’s death.
