Baga Chipz and Blu Hydrangea have shared some new details regarding their upcoming DragCon UK 2023 appearance.

From 6-8 January, Drag Race stars from around the world will be storming the ExCeL London halls for the coveted event’s grand return.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the in-person festivities were put on hold in 2021 and 2022.

Like previous years, DragCon UK 2023 will feature gag-worthy panel and Q&A sessions, an array of vendors, exhibitors, and so much more.

The event will also allow fans to meet their favourite drag performers and participate in immersive performances and activities.

In a recent interview with Digital Spy, Blu and Baga spilt the tea on what fans can expect from their highly anticipated appearance, as well as their Frock Destroyers performance.

“We are really excited for DragCon. We’re going to perform as the Frock Destroyers,” Blu said.

“We love meeting the fans and meeting the rest of the queens from around the world. It’s going to be a massive, massive line-up. So it’ll just be amazing.”

Unfortunately, the group will be down one member during the upcoming event due to Divina De Campo’s busy schedule.

While her presence will surely be missed, Baga informed the news outlet that the beloved queen would return for future performances.

“The press is always a bit like, ‘Oh, Geri has left the band.’ But, she hasn’t,” she teased.

In addition to Blu and Baga, DragCon UK 2023 is set to feature an array of Drag Race talent including A’Whora, Black Peppa, June Jambalaya, Lady Camden, Jinx Monsoon, Vanity Milan, Pagina Heals, Icesis Couture and many more.

Mama Ru and Michelle Visage will also be strutting across the pond to deliver charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent.

Lastly, the event will feature a booth for the late Cherry Valentine for fans to celebrate and honour the beloved performer.

“We are deeply saddened by the untimely and tragic loss of Cherry Valentine. She was kind, generous, and an inspiration,” the organisers said in an Instagram statement on 3 October.

“RuPaul’s DragCon has always been a place where we all come together as a community. It is in that spirit that Cherry’s booth will remain at DragCon UK as a place where people can gather, reflect and celebrate her memory.”

The booth will also feature a book of condolence for people to sign and leave messages to Cherry (also known as George Ward).
