Drag Race star LaLa Ri has opened up about her shocking elimination from All Stars 8.

During the show’s eighth episode, the queens were tasked with creating an original outfit “worthy of the Drag Race Hall of Fame” with materials based on past All Stars winners.

In true Drag Race fashion, some of the queens – like Kandy Muse and LaLa Ri – struggled with the sewing aspect of the challenge.

Before heading to the main stage, LaLa admitted to being nervous about the challenge – which stemmed from her hitting creative roadblocks with her “Hall of Fame” look.

While LaLa admitted to being nervous about her ensemble, the season 13 queen was confident that the challenge’s top contender, Alexis Michelle, would save her.

“I don’t know how I’m going to do in this challenge, lord be with me. But you know what? I know that Alexis is going to have my back because last week I saved her,” Lala explained in a confessional.

Unfortunately, LaLa’s prediction ended up being false when Alexis pulled her lipstick.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the beloved talent opened up about her controversial elimination and why she was confident Alexis would save her.

“I don’t remember a lot, but I was going based off what the conversation was. In the Werk Room I was like, ‘You got me?’ and she said yes. I knew I was going to be in the bottom,” LaLa explained.

“I knew that Alexis was a seamstress and Jimbo was a seamstress, and I knew that Jessica was good at hot [glue] gun, so that left me and Kandy Muse in the bottom. It wasn’t a shocker. I remember saying to [Alexis], ‘You’ve got me,’ and she said yes.”

LaLa also explained why she kept Alexis instead of Kahanna Montrese in episode seven.

“Initially, I was going to of course, keep my sister Kahanna, because I love Kahanna, me and Kahanna had a strong bond,” she explained.

“Even though she’d been in the bottom four times, I was also thinking, if she continues to be in the bottom, I can work my way to the top, I can use my sister to work my way to a win.”

LaLa went on to say that she ended up choosing Alexis because of her competitive nature and desire to beat “the best of the best.”

“However, her continuing to tell me over and over and over that she’s going to remember that and she’s going to save me, and for her to do what she did, it was just like, eh, this is why I said, if it walk like a duck, quack like a duck, it must be a pit bull,” she added.

Fortunately, LaLa admitted that there’s no bad blood between her and Alexis because “at the end of the day, it is a competition.”

“This is the top five, it’s getting down to the nitty-gritty, so let’s get these girls up outta here. I love my sisters, I had so much fun, I still feel like a winner… no bad blood – I still love her,” she added.
