Drag Race legends Monét X Change and Bob the Drag Queen are set to appear in The Simpsons.

Since their equally iconic runs on the hit competition series RuPaul’s Drag Race, the Sibling Rivalry hosts have led prosperous and iconic careers within the entertainment sphere.

From Bob’s HBO docuseries We’re Here, to Monét’s upcoming debut in Gaetano Donizetti’s The Daughter of the Regiment, the pair have never faltered in showcasing their charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent.

To ring in 2023, the two Drag Race winners have stepped into their animation bag with their upcoming stint on the popular Fox series The Simpsons.

On 29 December, the show’s writer Carolyn Omine revealed the news via her Twitter account.

“What are you doing New Year’s Day? I’ll be live-tweeting and watching Bob the Drag Queen and Monét X Change on an all-new episode of The Simpsons,” she wrote.

Shortly after Omine’s tweet, Bob and Monét took to social media to express their excitement over their upcoming guest spot.

“This is a huge moment for me. So glad that I could do this with my best friend,” Bob wrote.

Monét added: “Oh wow. She’s a Simpson, officially! Catch me and [Bob the Drag Queen] on a brand new episode on @thesimpsons on January 1st.”

In addition to their tweets, Bob also uploaded a video to Instagram – which featured the pair celebrating in front of a Simpsons-themed building.

“We’re on The Simpsons bitch,” they both exclaimed as Bob swept Monét off of her feet.

In response to the exciting news, fans flocked to social media to praise the two icons for their massive achievement.

One person tweeted: “I’m gonna Fucking die!! I adore these queens, and they’re gonna be on the SIMPSONS?! Thank god I travel with a fainting couch, is all I’m saying. So proud of @thatonequeen and @monetxchange.

Another fan wrote: “The fact that one of my childhood favourite shows is, including the cast from my adult favourite show, makes me want to cry.”

Monét and Bob’s upcoming Simpsons episode isn’t the first time that Drag Race stars have appeared in the long-running animated comedy.

Back in 2018, RuPaul guest starred as Queen Shante, who gives Marge and Homer drag makeovers to sell more Tupperware.

Drag Race winner Raja also appeared in the hilarious episode as Homer’s drag mother – which she later described as a “surreal and mind-blowing” experience.

We can’t wait to see Monét and Bob’s sure-to-be sickening appearance on The Simpsons’ New Year’s Day episode.
