Amanda Tori Meating has broken her silence on the recent episode of Drag Race season 16.

Spoilers ahead

For this week’s maxi-challenge, Ru split the seven remaining queens—Dawn, Mhi’ya Iman Le’Paige, Morphine Love Dion, Nymphia Wind, Jane, Q, and Sapphira Cristál –into groups so they could devise drag awareness employee seminars.

“Q, Plane Jane, your topic is, ‘Do you know your drag herstory?’. Mhi’ya and Dawn, you’re topic is ‘Drag in the workplace’, and I do mean work,” she explained.

“Sapphira, Nymphia, and Morphine, your topic is’ Are you a drag queen? You might be surprised.’ Ladykins, this is your chance to be ambassadors of confusion, unemployment, nerve, and telekinesis.”

After Ru left the workroom, the queens started brainstorming ideas. While Sapphira, Dawn, Plane, and Q easily navigated the creative process, Mhi’ya, Nymhia, and Morphine struggled during the creative process.

Fortunately, all of the queens pulled it together in the end and went on to deliver hilarious presentations.

However, Nymphia, Morphine, and Sapphira’s shady slide show turned quite a few heads on social media because of its shady jokes – including one targeting Amanda Tori Meating‘s drag.

It didn’t take long for the New York-based queen to respond to her surprise cameo on X, formerly known as Twitter.

“God, the girls are obsessed with me,” Amanda wrote before uploading another tweet joking about having a “complex” over the constant critique of her drag.

The 27-year-old talent also shut down the “bad makeup skills” narrative by uploading two selfies of her sporting a sickening beat face.

“Let’s see how long we can keep the “Amanda is bad at makeup” narrative going,” she added.

While Amanda didn’t take Nymphia, Morphine, and Sapphira’s playful shade to heart, some “fans” used the opportunity to send her hate, which she epically shut down in another set of tweets.

“People will really be in the replies of a tweet ending in “lmfao” telling me to “laugh it off” like ??? I’m laughing ???? I SAID LMFAO,” she wrote.

“‘You’re obviously bothered’ And I am allowed to be. How about we just agree that all the S16 girlies (and any cast for that matter) are gonna feel how we feel as we experience something we lived play out on tv.”

Lastly, Amanda opened up about her frustrations with her talent being overshadowed by her entrance look.

“I think what’s frustrated me is I went to Drag Race really excited to showcase my art and on the first day, I shat the bed with my makeup, which became all anyone could talk to me about on set, and everything I have to offer feels overshadowed by makeup/getting read all the time,” she tweeted.

“Like, I get it. I know we signed up to be critiqued and talked about, but reducing me to crunchy makeup when I’m literally so talented, charismatic, creative, funny, smart, and NOW gorgeous, it just feels so short-sighted of people, I guess.”

Fortunately, Amanda didn’t let the haters get her down. After muting her notifications, she returned to Twitter to praise Mhi’ya and Morphine’s gag-worthy lip-sync.

On next week’s episode of Drag Race season 16, the queens will be starring in the hot new design show “Bathroom Hunties.”

Drag Race season 16 is available to stream on WOW Presents Plus and MTV.
