Eve 6000 has announced that she “quit” Drag Race.
On X (formerly known as Twitter), the Canada’s Drag Race star told her followers: “I’m just going to say at this point that I’ve officially quit drag. At least as it relates to “Drag Race.”
“Drag will always be a part of my life that led me to who I am, but “Drag Race” isn’t something I would ever wish to personally be a part of again.”
Eve added: “Not like it’s big news to anyone but yeah. I’m over it for many, many, many reasons… I’m flourishing in life more than I ever have since I finally let it go a year ago.”
The star memorably competed on the second season of Canada’s Drag Race, where she received praise for her acting skills, impersonated Bernie Sanders in the Snatch Game and went viral as Revealina in the Rusical – particularly for her delivery of the lyric: “I got a trick… up my sleeve”.
Eve ultimately sashayed away in eighth place after losing the lip-sync smackdown to Synthia Kiss.
In February 2022, Eve came out as a trans woman in an interview with Joseph Shepherd for his online Drag Race series Exposed.
She later wrote on X: “I am transitioning. This has really been a long time coming. I have finally accepted the fact that I need to physically transition in order to be myself. To be seen as, and live my life as a woman.
I’m just going to say at this point that I’ve officially quit drag. At least as it relates to “Drag Race.” Drag will always be a part of my life that led me to who I am, but “Drag Race” isn’t something I would ever wish to personally be a part of again.

“I’ve tried for decades now to push it out of my mind because I was too scared of what it would mean. What if I’m not passable? What if I lose family? What if people make fun of me? I’m too tall. My shoulders are too broad. I’m too fat. My hairline, my nose, my jaw, etc etc etc…
“At this point in my life I’ve finally realized that I have to either truly accept myself, or just give up on life altogether. And I am choosing to live. I owe it to myself to at least try to become the person that I was always meant to be.”
In June 2023, Eve celebrated her one-year anniversary of starting hormone replacement therapy. On a GoFundMe page for her transition, she thanked her followers for their support: “I truly appreciate every donation that has been made, and everyone who has shared this with their friends.”
Eve also revealed why her chosen name out of drag is ‘Rina’: “I was named after members of my family, so I wanted to continue that and honour someone who has supported me throughout my transition, my Baba (grandmother.)
“So I’ve chosen the name Rina, short for Ekaterina. On my socials as of now I’ll still use Eve, as it’s related to my drag persona, and I’d like to keep my personal life separate.”
