Taylor Sheesh, a drag performer known for impersonating Taylor Swift, treated Swifties in a Philippines mall to her version of The Eras Tour.

Ayala Malls Trinoma in Quezon City was packed out over the weekend as Sheesh delivered a set in the style of Swift’s record-breaking tour.

“To all my fellow Swifties, thank you so much for your energy last night,” she wrote on social media alongside videos of her show. “See you all to the next mall tour.”

Sheesh’s setlist was made up of lip-syncs to hit songs by Swift, including ‘All Too Well (10 Minute Version) [Taylor’s Version] [From the Vault]’, ‘Miss Americana and the Heartbreak Prince’ and ‘Don’t Blame Me’ – all of which are regularly performed on The Eras Tour.

Swift is yet to announce tour dates outside of the US, with one of the show’s goals being to encourage her to visit the Philippines.

Swifties went as far as tagging their videos from the mall performance with hashtags such as ‘#WeWantErasTourPhilippines’.

The show was organised by fan collective Swifties Philippines, who threw a similar one just two months ago in Manila.

It was so popular that ‘#TheErasFestivalinManila’ trended on Twitter.

“Filipino Swifties, let’s show the world that we can louder!” it wrote on social media when promoting the show. “Let’s unite as one nation in this festive fan-gathering as we celebrate our love for Taylor and how much #WeWantErasTourPhilippines.”

‘Midnights’ logged the biggest sales week for an album since Swift’s own ‘Reputation’ in 2017

Swift’s tour comes after her 10th studio album, ‘Midnights’, broke an endless string of records during its release week, soaring to number one in both the UK and US.

On its opening day, it shattered the all-time Spotify record for the most streamed album in a single day with 186 million streams, surpassing ‘Certified Lover Boy’ by Drake’s 155 million in 2021.

In the US, it logged the biggest sales week for an album since Swift’s own ‘Reputation’ in 2017 – topping the Billboard 200 chart with 1,578,000 units sold.

It marked the second-largest first week for an album by a female artist in the US and made her the first-ever to have five albums open with more than one million sales.

Swift also made history as the first act to occupy the entire top 10 of the Hot 100 concurrently, with all 20 tracks from the ‘3am Edition’ of ‘Midnights’ charting in the top 45.
