Tyra Sanchez has been arrested for allegedly threatening to shoot Florida police.

According to a report obtained by TMZ, the drag entertainer – who won the second season of RuPaul’s Drag Race – has been charged with assault on a law enforcement officer and resisting without violence.

Tyra, also known as James Ross and ‘King Tyra’, was involved in a minor car crash in Starke, a city outside of Jacksonville.

It quickly escalated when police arrived on the scene, where Tyra allegedly “verbally berated” them and threatened to shoot an officer.

The report also states that Tyra reached into her car when the officer tried to put handcuffs on her. After Tyra was tasered – which did “squat to stop her” – she allegedly ran away from the scene before police found her and took her into custody.

Since conquering Drag Race in 2010, Tyra’s had a complicated history with the show – and the law.

In 2o18, she made terrorist threats against DragCon. Tyra’s official website featured a timer with the date and time for DragCon 2018 with “B.O.O.M” across the top of the page. No such threat took place.

Two years later, Tyra was arrested and charged with criminal damage after spray painting “don’t move here ever” on the side of an apartment building.

After retiring from drag, Tyra made her comeback last year as ‘King Tyra’ with an OnlyFans account.
