Drag Race legend and Celebrity Big Brother winner Courtney Act is set to appear on Neighbours.

The iconic performer announced the news on Twitter, telling her followers: “I’M GONNA BE ON NEIGHBOURS!

“Right, that’s it, I’m done, I’m hanging up my wig. I’ve reached Peak ‘Straya. The mythical Fair Go. Advance Australia Fairy!”

She then thanked her co-stars Matt Wilson and Takaya Honda, who play gay couple Aaron Brennan and David Tanaka on the Australian soap.

“Thank you to the two lovey gays of Ramsey St, who so delicately held my hand through my first acting gig since high school!” she said.

“Neighbours will be in the @sydneymardigras Parade this year but I won’t hit your screens till next year!”

Courtney has had an incredible year since triumphing over Ann Widdecombe on CBB last year.

She hosted her own reality dating series called The Bi Life, a ten-part series focusing on a group of bisexual, pansexual, fluid and questioning single British individuals.

Later, Courtney landed a Christmas special on Channel 4, which featured sickening performances of holiday anthems – with special guest stars Adore Delano, Bianca Del Rio, Darienne Lake, Zara Larsson and Leona Lewis.

Courtney then competed to represent Australia in the Eurovision Song Contest, but landed in fourth place.

You can catch her showcasing her charisma, uniqueness, nerve, talent and dancing ability on the 16th season of Dancing with the Stars Australia, which airs Mondays on Network 10.

In the first week, she topped the leaderboard with partner Joshua Keefe. Watch the gag-worthy routine here.
