Bachelorette star Gabby Windey has come out as part of the LGBTQ+ community in a new interview.

The former Dancing With the Stars competitor, who first made waves on The Bachelor, revealed the exciting news during an appearance on The View.

“I always want to live my truth and my story, so I have been seeing someone for a couple of months, and I’ve been keeping it a little more private because it is a bigger story and a bigger conversation because I’m dating a girl,” she explained.

Windey went on to say that her queer sexuality was always “a whisper in her”.

However, that whisper got louder after she completed her run on The Bachelorette and Dancing With the Stars.

“I didn’t really know to pay attention to it. I think when this happens, there’s some shame obviously surrounding it, so I think I had to like a little bit navigate through the shame. Like, what is it? Where is it coming from?” she said.

“But ultimately, I always just want to kind of like do me, do what I want, figure it out later.”

When asked by Joy Behar if she’s only attracted to just girls, the reality star replied: “I think so. I think it’s just my girl. She’s the best.”

Towards the end of her interview, Windey gave insight into what inspired her to publicly come out on The View.

“People know me and have kind of related to me on the previous shows I’ve been on, and I really appreciate that,” she explained.

“Knowing how much people care, I just want to be honest. I don’t want to live and not be living my full truth. I don’t want to do that to myself. I don’t want to do it to my girlfriend.

“I don’t want to do it to other people who really care about me and feel like they know me.”

Shortly after appearing on The View, Windey took to her Instagram to upload a series of photos featuring her girlfriend of three months, Robby Hoffman.
