We bet you thought you’d seen the last of these witches.

Ryan Murphy, the mastermind behind hit anthology TV series American Horror Story, has shared a first look at the cast of season eight, which is sub-titled Apocalypse, and it’s a family reunion worth gagging over.

“The Return. Cordelia, Stevie and Misty casting a bewitching spell,” wrote Ryan alongside a photo of Sarah Paulson, Lily Rabe and Fleetwood Mac singer Stevie Nicks as their characters from AHS season three (Coven).

As if that wasn’t enough to get our excitement to fever pitch, Ryan later shared a photo of more stars from Coven, with Taissa Farmiga, Gabourey Sidibe, Frances Conroy and Emma Roberts joining Sarah, Lily and Stevie.

“The Coven Returns. What a thrilling night with the legend Stevie Nicks on the set of American Horror Story,” he wrote.

Are you gagged? Because we’re gagged.

It was recently revealed that fan favourite Jessica Lange, who made her last appearance on the show in season four (Freak Show), will be making her long-overdue comeback for Apocalypse as Constance Langdon, in an episode directed by Sarah Paulson.

Show creator Ryan Murphy has already confirmed that Apocalypse will be the much-rumoured crossover between season one (Murder House) and season three (Coven), so it makes sense for Jessica to return as Constance, who was last seen looking after anti-christ child Michael.

We also know some previously confirmed details about other cast members who’ll be returning, including series regulars Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters and Kathy Bates, as well as Billy Eichner, Cheyenne Jackson, Adina Porter and Leslie Grossman.

They’ll be joined by Hollywood legend Joan Collins, who will make her American Horror Story debut as the “glamorous” grandmother to Evan’s character, who’s been described as a ‘comedic hair stylist’.

Jeffrey Bowyer Chapman (UnReal) and Kyle Allen (The Path) have also been cast as guest stars.
