Get ready, people! Madonna’s new music is “coming soon”

It’s not just the royal wedding this weekend that’s going to be one of the most regal events of the year, because the Queen of Pop has hinted at her return.

Yes, Madonna has confirmed plans to release brand new music “soon” in a tweet, which also revealed the title of her new track Beautiful Game.

The pop icon first performed the song at the Met Gala earlier this month, along with her classic hit Like A Prayer.

Lyrics on the new track include: “It’s a beautiful plan, but I’m not concerned / It’s a beautiful game, that I never learned / You have taught me to shut my mouth, that I not get burned / Keep your beautiful lies, ‘cause I’m not concerned.”

Madonna has been working on new music for some time now, and even moved to the Portuguese capital of Lisbon for a bit last year to concentrate on the project.

Earlier this year it was revealed that she has been back in the studio with Mirwais, who produced the whole of her 2003 collection American Life, as well as helping her to create classic hit Don’t Tell Me.

Madonna’s 14th studio album will serve as follow-up to 2015’s Rebel Heart, which reached No.2 on both the UK and US charts.

We know it’s rude to mention a lady’s age, but with Madonna celebrating her 60th birthday this August, what better time than to remind everyone who still rules the charts than with a huge new pop record?
