Here are the LGBTQ characters that make us proud to be who we are

In celebration of Pride, we’ve rounded up some of TV’s finest LGBTQ characters who make us proud to be a part of the community.

Last year, LGBTQ representation on our TV screens was at its highest, with 58 out of 901 regular characters identifying as part of the LGBTQ community – up from 41 in 2016. Despite the increase, there’s undoubtedly room for improvement.

However, it’s important to recognise the characters that are representative of our community.

Characters such as Callie Torres, Arizona Robbins and Alex Blue Davis from Grey’s Anatomy, Captain Cold from The Flash, and Will Lexington and Kevin Picks from Nashville are living their authentic selves, and are proud to be who they are.

Watch below, and let us know if your favourite character made the cut!
