LGBTQ+ streaming platform Froot.TV has announced the drag artists competing in its fifth season of Camp Wannakiki, which GAY TIMES can exclusively reveal.
The new season, which will premiere on 6 June in the UK, will see 10 drag artists attempting to snatch the title of Queen/King of Camp.
The kings and queens involved will live at an actual summer camp as each episode follows their daily life there as they take part in a variety of traditional camp activities, such as water sports and archery.
Each night, the contestants will compete in a talent show that will see them showcase a themed look in the hope of securing their place in the competition for another day.
Those who survive the night will earn a badge, while the eliminated drag artists will be told to “take a hike” until just one remains.
The proceedings will be overseen by camp directors The Sugarbaker Twins, camp counselor Ruthie and ranger danger Eddie Danger.
Drag Race UK vs the World winner Blu Hydrangea, Drag Race US star Utica and beloved artist Erika Klash are among this season’s special guests.
The season will be made up of 10 episodes and is a Froot and OUTtv original, produced by Sugarbaker Productions.
“Camp Wannakiki provides an entertaining drag-take on a legendary setting, and redefines everything we thought we knew about Camp, in all senses of the word!” said Philip Webb, COO of OUTtv. “Our latest line-up of campers all bring their own comedic flourish to the series, and we’re excited to introduce them to our viewers as we head back to camp this summer.”
It lands on Froot.TV on 7 June and you can meet the full cast below.
