RuPaul’s Drag Race winner Sasha Colby has hard launched her new boyfriend and fans are swooning.

On Oscar’s night (10 March), stars flooded the red carpet to attend Elton John’s annual viewing party to raise money for the Elton John AIDS Foundation.

This included Colby, who – during an interview – looked down the lens of the camera and asked if she could “hard launch” her boyfriend.

Obviously the answer is yes please!

Colby ushers over her new beau Ben Koenigsberg, who she met celebrating Pride in Hawaii.

The interviewer asked Koenigsberg: “You won over Sasha Colby?”

“I think you won over me,” they quippingly responded.

Colby told The Advocate: “[We’ve been dating for] four or five months and enjoying it! He happened to be there. He’s from Seattle [and] we hooked up.”

Koenigsberg has already been supporting Colby on her new one-woman show, ‘Stripped’: “We saw her show last night and I was nervous. For me, this is crazy. She’s bonkers as hopefully everyone knows. I’m just so proud of her. The show is amazing. I can’t wait to see what she does next.”

Fans were quick to react and one said: “When parents step out on date night.”

Another added: “Holy F**K y’all look so good.”

Colby is one of drag’s most accomplished entertainers, creating viral moments that include her iconic Beyoncé medley from 2014 and conquering Miss Continental two years earlier.

She then made waves on the 15th season of Drag Race, with four maxi-challenge wins – more than any other competitor – and ultimately took away the crown.

She cemented herself in herstory as the first trans woman of colour to win the series.

The reigning champ has kept a keen eye over the proceedings of the latest season and has delivered her own verdict on the ones to watch.

“I love Sapphira. I love a good pageant girl. She just seems like someone… we would hang out and do good Jameson shots at the end of the night,” she said.

“Nymphia’s amazing. They’re all so good! Q’s design aesthetic is incredible. I’m just glad I’m not in it.
