GAY TIMES’ Editorial Director Lewis Corner has been named Editor of the Year (Consumer Media) at the PPA Awards 2023.
The annual event – which marked its 43rd year – took place at City Central at The HAC and celebrated shortlisted individuals and media companies across the UK.
The PPA Awards are considered the most prestigious platform to recognise the incredible work of media businesses and individuals across every corner of the publishing industry.
At this year’s ceremony – hosted by actor, comedian and TV presenter Ellie Taylor – there were 27 categories across B2B and consumer media, which were judged by a panel of 48 senior executives.
“Lewis wowed our judges with evidence of extraordinary brand transformation using a bold, modern and informative strategy,” the PPA Awards 2023 judges commented.
“The reach of the brand under their leadership has grown astronomically.”
GAY TIMES has celebrated record growth in the past 12 months across all digital and social platforms, with more people reading GAY TIMES Magazine now than ever before in our history.
“The PPA Awards are about recognising and rewarding the talented people, the innovative work and the dynamic media publishers, suppliers and partners that make up our vibrant industry,” said PPA CEO, Sajeeda Merali.
“The work of our highly respected editors and world-class writers; the contribution of our market-leading product and data experts; the output of our marketing and commercial teams; the design and creativity that brings our brands to life on screen, on the page and through events.
“The work that, once combined, helps audiences – both business and consumer – in every aspect of their day to day lives. A huge congratulations to all who were recognised at this year’s awards.”
The PPA – which stands for the Professional Publishers Association – is the main publishing body in the UK and was first founded in 1913.
