ABSOLUTE.’s brand new electro single Stuck In Love is the perfect summer anthem.
Inspired by the “rawness” of Detroit electro and “Miami Sound Machine funk,” the banger is the “start of a new chapter” for the London-based DJ and producer, who said he was ‘scared and excited’ to release a track with a “full original vocal”.
“It’s been one of my favourite records to play and make,” said ABSOLUTE.
“It was originally written during lock-down, then after my recent tour of the US the track took on a whole new meaning when the lyrics ended up becoming my reality during my trip in LA, with art imitating life, it feltABSOLUTE releases Detroit electro-inspired banger Stuck In Love the perfect time to put this out into the world.”
Stuck In Love follows the release of ABSOLUTE.’s critically-acclaimed debut EP Wonderland, recent single Dämmerung and his debut Essential Mix, which was recorded at the Iconic Shangri-La Gas Tower at Glastonbury.
Since the release of Wonderland, which was shortlisted by BBC Radio 1 for 2021’s Dance Album of the Year, ABSOLUTE. has championed the LGBTQ+ rave community by taking his club-ready beats on tour and performed at iconic venues such as Printworks and Manchester’s Warehouse Project.
In 2019, he also DJ’d with Honey Dijon at GAY TIMES Honours and made his return at the 2021 ceremony, where he performed alongside artists such as Rina Sawayama, RAYE, Baby Queen, Poppy Ajudha, Kwaye, Raven Mandella, Jaguar and OUTHAUS.
