Ryan Murphy has teased a revival for Scream Queens.

The horror-comedy TV series, which boasted sharp-tongued humour and a string of high-profile stars including Jamie Lee Curtis, Ariana Grande and Nick Jonas, was officially cancelled in 2017 after just two seasons (we were devastated).

Despite its short-lived nature, the show gained something of a cult following, and fans have been calling for a revival ever since it was taken off the air.

After teasing that he was working on a third season earlier this year, TV mastermind Ryan Murphy (American Horror Story, Glee, Pose) has given an update on where he’s at with the highly-anticipated project during an interview with Deadline.

Asked whether another round of Scream Queens is still in the pipeline, Ryan said: “I don’t know. I would have to say that the answer to that lies in the studio who made it. Obviously I work for Netflix now, but if I could do anything to bring it back.

“Emma said she would do it, Lea Michele said she would do it, Jamie Lee Curtis, Abigail Breslin, Billie Lourd are all in. So it would depend if Fox wants to do it. I think we’d all do it. I think we’re waiting for them to call us.

“I know the show is very popular and had a real spike in popularity on Hulu. That was another one when we were making it; I don’t know if time has caught up to it, or it takes a while for people to get things, but yes, I’d be up for it.”

Ryan’s advice for helping get another season of Scream Queens in the works? “The fans should write Fox and say they want this, Fox Studios and the network,” he said.

So… who’s going to start the Change.org petition?
