Aerial view of the O2 and Peninsula Square, Greenwich Peninsula, London

Situated beside the O2 and on the bank of the River Thames, Greenwich Peninsula is one of London’s most dynamic and exciting areas and is quickly being heralded as London’s newest creative/cultural hub. The Upper Riverside apartments situated on Cutter Lane are perhaps one of the most exquisite and contemporary buildings one could find in London.

Fortunately, GAY TIMES had the pleasure of staying in one of their apartments while getting ready for GAY TIMES Honours 2022 and we are here to give you the inside scoop on why these spectacular apartments should be on your list if you are looking for properties in London.

Step into the modern lobby entrances of No.2 Cutter Lane and you are greeted with a warm and welcoming concierge service that are willing to help you with your every need. Up the elevators that can only be accessed with a key fob, offering maximum security to its residents, lie 24 floors of residential heaven. We are then greeted by a spacious and welcoming living room with a kitchen and dining area. These penthouse riverside style apartments offer a large terrace with 180° views of the River Thames.

The Upper Riverside is also perfectly situated, a staggering 2 minute walk from the O2 arena, 2 minutes from North Greenwich Tube Station (Jubilee Line) and 5 minutes from Canary Wharf. If these don’t interest you, taking the Cable Car or Uber Boat from central London can offer a fresh and unique perspective.

As for the wider Greenwich Peninsula area, walking along the riverside and The Tide and taking in the free public art trail featuring Felipe Pantone and Damien Hirst can prove an interesting way to spend a Sunday if you find yourself in the area. You can stop for a bite to eat at the new food & craft market in Peninsula Square, open every weekend (curated by Real Food Markets – high quality produce and independent makers), or head to Canteen Food Hall & Bar for some delicious warm street food and a cocktail.

There’s always something to soak up on the Peninsula, whether it’s winter Jazz in Bureau, kids’ craft workshops, carol-singing in Canteen Food Hall & Bar for the festive months, free summer music festivals on the riverside, or community winter wellbeing, there’s something for the whole family to enjoy on the Peninsula.
