Pride season is the most anticipated time of the year in the queer calendar, bringing the best celebrations the community has to offer. It may be unassuming, but here are 5 reasons why Amsterdam Pride should be on your bucket list for next year’s pride celebrations.

Pulitzer Amsterdam

Pulitzer hotel is perhaps one of the most famous hotels in all of Amsterdam, set one one of Amsterdam’s classic canals, multiple townhouses have been combined together into a stunning luxury property, right in the heart of the city.

Rooms are completely unique like the houses themselves with a range of sizes and aesthetics across different floors. We loved this hotel for a unique and authentic Amsterdam experience, set in the heart of the city; it definitely wins our Pulitzer prize.

W Hotel Float

W Hotels brought back their famed Amsterdam canal boat for the first time since COVID in 2023, this energetic and impactful float captured the attention of pride-goers perhaps more so than any other canal float on this year’s parade.

With beats by Josh Harrison and onboard live singer, the W party spirit and stance taking brand initiative was duly admired. For anyone attending Amsterdam pride in 2023 make sure you keep an eye out for W’s float for years to come. It definitely is one of our favourite activations here at GAY TIMES.

Calvin Klein Party, ‘Sweetie Darling’

Calvin Klein sure knows how to put on a great party and the star-studded event at W Amsterdam rounded off a phenomenal Saturday in the city. A uniquely diverse crowd partied into the night at one of W’s rooftop lounges, which overlooks the city whilst being in the centre of the action. GAY TIMES and Calvin Klein have an ongoing partnership supporting LGBTQ+ talent and voices in Calvin’s ‘Proud in my Calvins’ campaign.

Dekmantel IsBurning

We love to see queer people putting on queer nights in brilliantly queer cities, Dekmantel IsBurning was one of the queerest nights we’ve attended at any pride week worldwide.

A truly diverse event with representation from the entire LGBGTQIA+ initialism meant from a rave like scene in an out of town warehouse with queer DJs and performance.

Dekmantel IsBurning runs year round and should be a must stop night for queer revellers and partiers.

Het Koekemannetje (The Cookie Man)

European cities are famed for their bakeries and Amsterdam is no exception. The Cookie Man is famed for their soft-bake cookies with rich toppings and centres, make sure you stop in for some treats and bites during your next visit.
