Gay Times is partnering with British Military Fitness to offer you an amazing fitness prize!

British Military Fitness is an organisation that inspires positive changes in people’s lives by bringing them ttogether to get active in the great outdoors. BMF has more than 13,000 members and runs more than 500 outdoor fitness classes  a week across 150 parks in the UK.

Each session is suitable for all fitness levels because BMF’s military-trained staff  support and motivate participants to work to their own ability while keeping the whole group together. Each  instructor has a positive ‘work hard, play hard’ attitude and provides a non-judgemental framework within which to work out.

As in the military, teamwork is the foundation of each session with BMF. From the very first minute, participants are encouraged to pair and group up in order to motivate each other. This also makes BMF one of the most sociable fitness options on the market, with people forming lasting friendships with their team mates throughout the course of their membership.

In addition, every BMF class includes a variety of bodyweight exercises and high-intensity interval training (HIIT), which delivers long-term results by boosting your metabolism for longer than a simple run would. You will continue to burn calories at an elevated rate for up to 48 hours after each session. Where else can you, as an adult, experience the child-like liberation of playing a game of tag or stuck-in-the-mud?!

No two BMF classes are the same, so you won’t get bored. Different days of the week are dedicated to run club or kit sessions, for example, and each instructor brings different skills and ideas.

All BMF’s instructors are experts at creating challenging circuits and games that work you hard without you realising it – and laughing burns calories, too!

You don’t need any special kit to train with BMF, as the instructors provide not only expertise and encouragement, but the equipment and water, too. You just need to turn up wearing a decent pair of running shoes, bringing a sense of humour and a willingness to get a bit muddy.
