Is it just us, or is there love in the air?

With same-sex marriage legal in the UK, and countries all around the world following suit, you might be considering popping the question to your significant other – but how do you make it the romantic moment your loved one deserves?

Well, a list of the most popular places in the world to propose has just been released, and we have a feeling it might give you some inspiration. Celebrity Cruises analysed a year’s worth of Instagram data using proposal-related hashtags like #HeSaidYes and #SheSaidYes and #Proposal to create a list of the 15 most popular places for couples to get engaged.

While symbols of romance like the Eiffel Tower in Paris and the Trevi Fountain in Rome are to be expected, you may be surprised to see that the UK appears on the list twice, with London’s Tower Bridge and The Shard named popular choices.

Over a million posts were analysed in total, and we’re not surprised, because if your proposal isn’t shared on social media in the 21st century, did it really even happen? Whether you’re happily coupled or still searching for your Prince (or Princess) Charming, get some inspiration with the full list below.
