If you’re on your feet all day, then you need a pair of Coach CitySole in your life - pronto.
If anyone knows a thing or two about being busy, then it’s J-Lo. Actress, singer, dancer, global super star, Jenny from the Block; she’s the woman responsible for this year’s insane Super Bowl performance and that iconic scene in Hustlers. So, when someone like Lopez fronts a campaign all about all-day comfort for people who are always on-the-go, we take notice. Even more so when it’s for an iconic brand like Coach, and someone like the equally as impressive Michael B. Jordan is standing right beside her.
Inspired by New York City - a city that famously never sleeps and hometown to both Coach and Jennifer - Coach’s CitySole collection for men and women is created for high octane, high impact city life. It fuses sportswear technology - think grooved soles that grip city pavements and supportive, shock-absorbing cushioned pods usually found in traditional running shoes - with designs strictly influenced by the world of fashion. The CitySole Court references classic basketball sneakers, the CitySole Runner is inspired by the silhouette of running shoes and the CitySole Lowline is Coach’s updated take on a classic low-top. Colours range from vivid reds and blues to shocking pinks and yellows, materials from denim to haircalf, canvas, suede and smooth leather, and prints from animal to the Coach logo. Plus, with prices ranging from £125 to £195 for a pair, they won’t set a huge dent in your bank account like much of the luxury fashion trainers market will right now.

Eager to give the collection a go myself, I opted for the CitySole Court in a statement making tiger print and cherry red leather. Often, my days see me frantically running around London, so I need a shoe that works as hard as I do - and, because I work in fashion, they need to make a statement. By the end of a particularly busy day, I felt comfortable, supported and confident. Pairing my CitySole with a simple jeans and t-shirt look during the day and slip dress and blazer for the evening, they took me from an early morning gym class and day-long meetings to after-hours dinner drinks easily and I didn’t need to worry about looking too casual at work or too dressed up on my date. It’s a win-win from me. With a busy month of Fashion Week events on the horizon, I am anticipating that my CitySole sneakers will be a popular go-to in my wardrobe.
Want to get in on the action? We’re taking inspiration from Lopez and fellow campaign star and New Yorker, actor Michael B. Jordan to style our CitySole look. These outfits are all about colour, energy and impact - just like the collection itself.

“Sneakers are a wardrobe staple for me,” Jordan said about the collection. “As someone who grew up around New York and is constantly on the go, Coach CitySole’s blend of fashion and comfort is the right balance for an everyday sneaker-wearer like me.”

“When you grow up in New York, sneakers are such a big part of your lifestyle because you have to pound the pavement,” Lopez said when asked about the collection. “Coach CitySole is perfect for my lifestyle – I’m a dancer, and I’m always on the go and they’re very versatile. They can be dressed up and dressed down, and can be functional but also super fashionable.”
