This year’s Pride is filled with huge anticipation as a full calendar of events is set to return for the first time in three years. The 50th anniversary of Pride in London will see the buzzing capital thriving with parties, parades and protests all over.
London Pride’s 2022 #AllOurPride theme encapsulates this sense of coming together again as we will be “uniting the collective past, present and future of pride from every corner of the LGBTQ+ community.” With Covid cancellations and livestream events prioritising the last few years of Pride, 2022 is lined up to be extra special as everyone will be pulling out all the stops.
Here are some of our standout parties to celebrate Pride through the day and into the night!
CÎROC Vogue Ball:
This Thursday 30 June 2022, CÎROC will be bringing the house down boots with its Iconic Ball. The evening will celebrate 5 decades of LQBTQ+ creative greatness, in support of Queer Britain and Not A Phase. Hosted by Jack Mizrahi, Jonny Woo and Shon Faye, with music by DJ Biggy C, the UK’s house-ballroom community will come together to battle it out for the title of Iconic House of 2022. Ministry of Pride:
Ministry of Pride is back with a daytime terrace party in celebration of all things queer and 50 years of Pride. Presented by Fat Tony and Ministry of Sound, the all day extravaganza on Saturday 2 July will see some of the scene’s biggest DJs and performers including Joshua James, Raw Silk, Josh Harrison, and many many more! Horse Meat Disco at the Roundhouse:
Category is love and dancing as the legendary collective, Horse Meat Disco take over the iconic Roundhouse venue for a night to remember. The DJ quartet of Jim Stanton, James Hillard, Luke Howard and Severino Panzetta will be joined by special guest Joe Goddard from synth-pop band Hot Chip. Since their music beginnings in 2004, Horse Meat Disco have become truly global disco ambassadors, bringing people together for some of the best queer parties ever. Brunch at The Edition:
Drag superstars Gigi Goode and Symone lead festivities for this year’s Albert Kennedy Trust and Switchboard fundraiser, organised by The London Edition. Hosted by Henry Holland and Aimee Phillips, the fundraising brunch will take place at Berners Tavern on Saturday 2 July. Alongside live music and special guest appearances, there will also be a charity raffle of prizes donated by Daniel Fletcher, Bimini Bon Boulash, Anastasia Beverley Hills, UGG, PINKO and YOOX. For each ticket sold, £10 will go towards the Albert Kennedy Trust,
which supports young, homeless LGBTQ+ people living in a hostile environment or in a housing crisis, and Switchboard, the LGBTQ+ helpline that offers a safe space for anyone to discuss anything. Click here for more information.
Little Gay Brother at EartH:
If you’re wondering where Little Gay Brother has been, they’ve been busy moving house! Returning on Saturday 2 July, the LGBTQ+ club collective is hosting an affordable and borderline anarchic Pride spectacular at EartH. They’ll be turning the ornate upstairs of EartH Theatre in Dalston into a free-flowing rave from the afternoon onwards. Later, the party will descend into the rave basement of EartH Hall. As this is Pride, Little Gay Brother are putting the fancy headliners on ice and giving control to their family of DJs instead with ABSOLUTE., Bklava, Bestely, Jaye Ward, Maze&Masters, Oli Keens and Reece Spooner. fabric’s annual Pride weekend is always one for the books. This year the famous nightlife space is teaming up once again with London’s premier collective HE.SHE.THEY. for a rave like no other. Following up on their Easter weekend spectacular, the queer dance and club collective will return for what’s set to be a huge Pride weekend special on Saturday 2 July.
