Sam Smith will play two highly anticipated headline shows at the Royal Albert Hall following the release of their fourth album’s lead single.

The gigs will see the Stay with Me singer perform some of their biggest hits, as well as material from their upcoming record.

“Incredibly excited to announce Live at the Royal Albert Hall on 21st and 22nd October,” Sam wrote on Instagram. “We are planning such a special show for you all, it’s been too long since we’ve been together!!!”

They also confirmed that more information on their new album is “coming soon” and that those who pre-order it will get exclusive access to the presale tickets for the two shows.

Sam’s next single, Unholy, will serve as the lead and features none other than pop diva Kim Petras and is currently scheduled for release on 22 September.

The track has been going viral on TikTok ever since the two stars first teased fans with a preview of it, with Jimmy Napes, Omer Fendi, ILYA and Blake Slatkin among those who worked on its production.

The singer-songwriter’s last album, Love Goes, was released in October 2020 and reached the top five in both the US and UK, peaking at number two in the latter.

They have sold more than 35 million albums worldwide and have won four Grammy Awards.

Sam will perform at the Royal Albert Hall on Friday 21 and Saturday 22 of October.
