Lil Nas X has partnered up with League of Legends for an epic collaboration.

After conquering the music industry with his hit singles Old Town Road and Montero (Call Me By Your Name), the Grammy-winning artist has now shifted his focus to the video game world.

On 15 September, LNX revealed that he was the new president of Riot Games’ League of Legends.

In a hilarious mockumentary-style video, the Industry Baby opened up about his new venture as he took over the Riot Games offices.

“I guess part of me wanted to try something new. I left my stamp on pop music, I left my stamp on pop culture, now I’ve decided to be the new president of League of Legends. You can call me Lil Nas Xecutive,” he said.

Under his newfound title, the Industry Baby rapper is also set to deliver a brand new single – which will be used as the theme song for the upcoming 2022 League of Legends World Championship.

“Also, I’m going to make the best Worlds anthem of all time and out on the biggest, coolest, sexiest Worlds in the history of all Worlds,” he exclaimed. “STAR WALKIN is the only song anyone is allowed to listen to from now on. Swag fr!”

Alongside his forthcoming release, LNX will be hitting the Worlds stage to deliver an exclusive performance for the championship’s opening ceremony.

Lastly, players will also have the chance to take home an exclusive Prestige skin for the character K’Sante the Pride of Nazumah – which was co-designed by LNX and the game’s developers.

In an additional statement, Riot Games’ Naz Aletha shared his excitement over collaborating with the “most electrifying name in music.”

“When [Lil Nas X] showed up at our headquarters and told us he wanted to be President of League and join us throughout Worlds, we, of course, said yes,” he said.

“We’ve all been blown away by his vision, passion and undeniable style. We can’t wait to see what he brings to the Worlds stage in San Francisco this November.”

Shortly after he announced his League of Legends presidency, fans of LNX took to social media to praise the beloved artist for his latest partnership.

One user wrote: “THE GAYS WIN AGAIN.”

Another fan tweeted: “Lil Nas X doing a collab with League of Legends is the best thing that’s happened this year.”

Lil Nas X’s new track STAR WALKIN is set to be released on 23 September.
