The wrestling star posted a picture with her girlfriend before opening up about coming out.

WWE star Tegan Nox has come out as gay in an adorable post with her girlfriend, Sierra St. Pierre, at Universal Studios. Outside of the Hogwarts Castle, Tegan wrote: “Life is good” with a series of rainbow heart emojis, as she stood close to her girlfriend.

And in an interview with Newsweek, Tegan opened up about her decision to come out. “My life has always been a ‘don’t ask, don’t tell’ situation, but I felt like it was the right time, especially when you’ve found the right one you’re in love with. It was the right time to do that,” she explained.

“The reaction has been great. There are a few people who obviously don’t agree with that, but 99 percent of the reactions have been positive. I’ve got texts coming through from so many colleagues and friends. It was nice. It’s great to see that there are so many nice people in the world.”

Tegan also confirmed that she spoke to Sonya Deville, another LGBTQ+ WWE wrestler, saying: “I actually talked to Sonya before I even did this. She was a big, big help. She gave me her phone number and told me to text her if I needed anything.

“So we keep in contact quite a lot about it. She’s a massive help with the fans, because my family knew but my fans didn’t. So she helped me bring it out to the public.”

It’s a shame that Tegan faced some negative comments for living her truth, but thankfully most of the comments on her post, which has been liked over 42,000 times, were overwhelming positive.

One wrote: “This makes me so happy!!!” And WWE star Nikki Cross added: “awww- Happy for you my shiny wizard!”

Another fan wrote: “Love seeing you happy Tegan, thank you for always spreading positive vibes!!” And another added: “Love is good. Seeing this made me happy.”

Meanwhile a whole host of other WWE stars responded with either heart or clapping emojis.
