Ladies and gentlemen, start your engines…
BBC Three have unveiled the first ever image of RuPaul on the Drag Race UK runway.
Earlier today, the official Instagram page for the highly-anticipated British spin-off uploaded a photo of the Emmy-winning host at the back of the stage, right before she sashays and shantays – and from what we can see, she looks positively SICKENING.
“Listen up queens, here is your first ever glimpse of Mama Ru on Drag Race UK,” they wrote, before teasing: “Also, keep an eye out for EXCITING Drag Race news from across the pond! This is going to be a brilliant week for Drag Race fans.”
Are you dying? We are dying. It’s safe to say the cast of Drag Race UK will be announced shortly, and perhaps confirmation of the show’s upcoming 12th season or All Stars 5? Maybe another Christmas special?
Last week, the premiere date for RuPaul’s Drag Race UK was confirmed.

Listen up queens, here is your first ever glimpse of Mama Ru on #DragRaceUK. Also, keep an eye out for EXCITING Drag Race news from across the pond! This is going to be a brilliant week for Drag Race fans. @bbcthree’s Drag Race UK is coming to iPlayer this October.
This October, ten sickening queens (who are yet to be confirmed) will sashay down the runway and compete for the title of Britain’s Next Drag Superstar for eight spectacular episodes on BBC Three.
“Oh my goodness, when they see this show, they are going to flip. And I predict that we will be doing this English edition of Drag Race for many years to come,” RuPaul said of the show’s future.
“I think also, audiences around the world are going to start to require the English version, because it’s different, it’s the same but it’s different. There’s a different tone.”
RuPaul will return as host and main judge alongside best squirrel friend Michelle Visage, as well as newcomers Alan Carr and Graham Norton, who will rotate every episode like Ross Matthews and Carsson Kressley on the American original.
It will feature a star-studded line-up of celebrity guests such as Lorraine Kelly, Stacey Dooley, Cheryl, Maisie Williams, Geri Halliwell, Andrew Garfield, Michaela Coel, Jade Thirwall, Twiggy, MNEK, Curtis Pritchard and AJ Pritchard.
