Troye Sivan has revealed that filming the ‘One Of Your Girls’ music video has “unlocked” something in him.

Clarifying his remarks in a newly posted TikTok video (2 November) he said: “I’m not saying that I’m non-binary. Or, I’ve honestly never really questioned my gender. But something was unlocked in me on the day of the ‘One Of Your Girls’ video shoot.”

Reflecting on his experience further he explained how his drag persona is not an “everyday” thing. Rather “for now, I don’t wanna look like that everyday.

“I don’t wanna be her everyday. But I’m also like, it’s gonna be so boring to make a music video again without the tape and the f*cking corset and all that sh*t.”

He joked, “What am I gonna do? Like, snooze fest! Ya know what I mean?”

The music video release for ‘One Of Your Girls’ was an absolute serve. The Aussie pop star was seen in high drag seducing special guest Ross Lynch in a studio set-up, delivering dance sass with choreo and props.

Fans were quick to react, one said: “Can someone inform me when the hell Troye Sivan became a bonafide pop star, because this man has not missed since ‘Rush’ came out?”

Another simply added: “My new religion.”

‘Rush’ and ‘One Of Your Girls’ was accompanied by ‘Got Me Started’ as the three singles released from Troye’s third album Something to Give Each Other.

Prior to the drop of the album, Troye explained how it encapsulates themes of connection and togetherness: “This album is my something to give you – a kiss on a dancefloor, a date turned into a weekend, a crush, a winter, a summer. Party after party, after party, after party. Heartbreak, freedom. Community, sisterhood, friendship. All that.”

Something to Give Each Other became Troye’s first chart-topping album in his home country. ‘One of Your Girls’ also reached number 11 in the UK, becoming his highest-charting solo single to date.
