Thailand’s kunty Drag Race spin-off has finally received a US premiere date.

The series ran for seven episodes and gagged viewers week by week with its incredible lip-syncs and jaw-dropping runways. And the competitors? Oh honey! To quote Shea Coulee, they didn’t come to play, they came to SLAY. No really, there’s blood.

Drag Race Thailand will premiere 4 May on WOW Present Plus, the brand spanking new streaming platform from World of Wonder.

Stylist and designer Art Arya takes on Ru’s role as host of the show, alongside Bangkok queen Pangina Heals.

Fenton Bailey of World of Wonder said: “Drag is part of the Thai culture, in some ways more than it has been in the US, historically speaking. Even though they are following the format, I want them to bring their own inimitable style and characteristics.”

On comparisons with the original, Bailey said: “They should being their own creativity, uniqueness, nerve, and talent. And I think they are doing that! Thailand’s known as ’the land of smiles, and that’s perfect… because, ultimately, joy is in the DNA of Drag Race.”

The queens in the RuPaul’s Drag Race spin-off are as follows: Dearis Doll, 30; Natalia Piarcam, 37; Amadiva, 24; Bunny Be Fly, 25; Année Maywong, 30; Petchara, 30; Meannie Minaj, 26; JAJA, 34; Morrigan, 18, and B Ella, 30 (for promotional photos of all the queens, click here).
