We’ve been waiting years for this.

It’s been six long years since the original Sugababes lineup (Mutya, Keisha, Siobhán) reformed as MKS and dropped the incredible single Flatline, but they’re finally back with the original name and a new cover of a clubland classic.

Teaming up with DJ Spoony for his new Garage Classical album (which also features appearances from Lily Allen and Paloma Faith), the girls have covered garage duo Sweet Female Attitude’s hit 2000 single Flowers, lending their signature vocals and harmonies to the track.

“The Garage Classical album is a celebration of an important time in UK music. We grew up in the garage era and ‘Flowers’ is a timeless classic – the perfect fit,” said the Sugababes.

“We are so happy to finally be able to give a little something to our amazing supporters whilst we prepare for 2020. We hope you like it!”

The Sugababes will be appearing on The Graham Norton Show on Friday 18 October for their first televised performance in five years – so it seems the girl band reunion we’ve all been waiting for is officially full steam ahead.
