The library is open, children!
One of our favourite parts of a new season of RuPaul’s Drag Race (aside from Snatch Game, of course) is the Reading mini challenge, which sees the queens deliver their best shade upon their fellow contestants.
But as we can see in the 12-minute preview for this week’s episode, Silky Nutmeg Ganache has decided to turn the tables and instead read Mama Ru herself. We already know this is going to be a mistake.
“Miss RuPaul,” she begins, before she’s swiftly reminded of the $100,000 prize. “It’s gonna be real nice. We be up in here working and waiting on you at the door so you can come in and say, ‘Hello, hello, hello!’”
Silky goes on to read the rest of the room, taking up what feels like more time than any other contestant has ever had for this mini challenge (are we surprised, though?) before getting some much-needed advice from Mama Ru.
“Can you bring the volume down a little,” she asks.
“And also make it funny,” adds Brooke.

For the main challenge on this week’s episode, the queens will show off their comedy improv skills in Los Angeles Drag Patrol, a new guilty pleasure TV series which sees them pair up to “fight the law” together.
