RuPaul announces incredible guest judge for Drag Race UK season 4

The first guest judge for RuPaul’s Drag Race UK season 4 has been announced.

Back in October, Mama Ru and BBC Three announced that the beloved UK spin-off would return for a fourth season.

“If you think you got what it takes to be the UK’s next Drag Superstar, well, I want to hear from you,” Ru said in the video announcement.

Over the last few months, World of Wonder has remained quiet regarding the show’s premiere date, its new batch of queens and celebrity guest judges.

However on 21 July, Ru revealed that Sex Education star Hannah Waddingham would be joining the judges’ panel for season four.

The exciting news was announced during Ru’s recent stint as a guest host of the long-running late-night talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live.

At the start of the interview, Ru informed the audience that the two had met months prior.

“Now we know each other… because?” Ru questioned before Waddingham replied: “[Because] I’m a guest judge on RuPaul’s Drag Race UK.”

After receiving roaring applause from the audience, the Game of Thrones star then discussed the excitement she felt while filming the show.

“I mean, I was giddy as all hell about that. Michelle [Visage] will tell you, I was like, ‘Can’t believe I’m here,'” she teased.

Ru then asked if Waddingham was “haunted” by her appearance on the show, to which she replied: “I was slightly haunted by the fact that I decided to… that that was the day to run out in a pale pink latex rubber dress.”

When asked if she would wear her mysterious dress again, the 47-year-old actor said “hell no” before stating it was only for her Drag Race appearance.

“If I’m gonna trot this look out, it’s going to be once,” she added.

The recent Drag Race UK news comes a month after staple judge Graham Norton opened up about what fans can expect from season four.

In an interview with GAY TIMES, the beloved comedian described the new set of episodes as “really impressive” and boasts “some of the best queens we’ve ever seen”.

“It’s a post-COVID season,” teases Graham. “It was very hard for the [season three] queens in COVID because they weren’t making any money and lots of the dressmakers had stopped working.

“I think it was really hard during COVID, so this is definitely a post-COVID season and it’s great. You can look forward to it. You don’t need to worry!”
