The Queer Eye star’s memoirs, Over the Top, will be landing in September.

Entertainment Weekly has announced that Queer Eye star Jonathan Van Ness is set to publish his memoirs, Over the Top, on September 24. It has teased that there will be “never-before-told secrets” and that Jonathan will reveal a “side of himself that the public has never seen.”

The book’s publisher, HarperOne said: “JVN fans may think they know the man behind the stiletto heels, the crop tops, and the iconic sayings, but there’s much more to him than meets the Queer Eye.”

Judith Curr, the president and publisher of HarperOne said: “HarperOne seeks to publish authors whose lives inspire and Jonathan Van Ness embodies that mission.

“His memoir will move readers and offer a unique and much-needed testament to the power of staying true to yourself.”

And Hilary Swanson, the editor, said: “Jonathan Van Ness has made millions of people all over the world smile, embrace their uniqueness, and own their individuality.

“Now it’s time for us to return the favor as he reveals his own truth. Jonathan’s journey is at times hilarious, at times harrowing–and always refreshingly honest.

“I could not be more proud to help share his incredible story and show readers how to take their own struggles and turn them into something beautiful.”

Earlier this year, the Queer Eye star split from his boyfriend, Wilco Froneman. Jonathan initially made a post saying “cheaters never prosper,” but later deleted in.

In a separate post, he quoted Ariana Grande’s thank u, next saying: “She taught me love, she taught me patience, how she handles pain, that shits amazing,” he wrote. “I’ve loved and I’ve lost but that’s not what I see because look what I found ain’t no need for searching, rounding out my 2018 with a very gorg THANK U NEXT. #selflove.”
