Taylor Miller for Gay Times

Ever dreamed of having Queer Eye’s Antoni Porowski as your personal chef? Well, you’re in luck…kinda.

The current Gay Times cover star has announced plans to release his own cookbook next year, which will include plenty of his easy-to-make recipes that we’ve seen him teach newbies to the kitchen on Queer Eye.

“I could not be more thrilled to be writing about the recipes I love and think are essential to any novice home cook, professional, and somewhere in between,” Porowski said in a statement to Entertainment Weekly.

“I’m also truly honoured to be published by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt: the talented and passionate Rux Martin, for whom I have such tremendous respect.

“We immediately bonded on the importance of hors-d’oeuvres and our mutual love for Vermont, and I can’t wait to publish this book and share my personal recipes with the world.”

We think it’s safe to assume Antoni’s now infamous guacamole recipe featuring yoghurt will also be included in some way.

Meanwhile, Antoni recently spoke to Gay Times about how being on the show and hanging around with Bobby Berk, Karamo Brown, Tan France and Jonathan Van Ness has helped him open up and embrace queer culture.

“When I first started telling people about the show, I would embarrassingly catch myself whispering ‘Queer’ as though… I don’t know if I was embarrassed or I had some kind of shame, but it still felt taboo from childhood,” he told us.

“It’s kind of nice because now I say it really confidently. The more you immerse yourself in something, the less precious it gets.”

You can read the full interview with Antoni in the May 2018 issue of Gay Times, which is available to order here.

The issue also features Dexter Mayfield, The Walking Dead star Danile Newman, Fischerspooner frontman Casey Spooner, and Desmond Is Amazing – the ten year old Drag Queen of our dreams.
