Swirl it, twirl it, twerk it, swerve. Work it if you got the nerve.
Earlier this summer, Scissor Sisters reunited after a five year hiatus in collaboration with MNDR for the sassy benefit single SWERLK, which honours the victims of last year’s tragedy at Pulse nightclub in Orlando.
The track aimed to raise awareness of the Contigo Fund, who offer financial support to organisations working to heal, educate and empower LGBTQ and Latinx individuals.
Scissor Sisters and MNDR have teamed up with Indaba Music for a worldwide remix competition for the thumping anthem, and now all four of the remixes are available to download and stream.
U.K. DJ Martin Sharp was named the winner, whilst the runners-up were Zefir from Poland, Plus Beat’Z from Brazil, and Sonic Emblem from Japan.

Like the original, 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Contigo Fund.
Scissor Sisters frontman Jake Shears said: “Glad to support such a great cause. Through music hopefully we can help to bring people together and provide support for the LGBT Latinx community in Orlando.”
MNDR added: “Swerlk is about celebrating life, dancing, individuality, differences, fierceness, and sometimes Swerlk is even a shoulder to cry on.
“The Swerlk is not only a dance floor anthem, but it is a way of life, a mindset, and a show of solidarity.”
