“I love when I get sassed.”
Michelle Visage has set the record straight on her “drama” with Cheryl.
On this week’s episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK, fans noticed tension between the former Seduction songstress and the five-time UK chart-topper after they disagreed over Baga Chipz’s brand of bottled water, Chippy Tea Water.
“I think we had more fun watching you put stuff in your mouth. Hear from the other judges, maybe it’s just me,” critiqued Michelle, to which Cheryl replied: “I think it’s just you. It was actually smart that you kept it on brand.
“If I was going to buy that water, I would know that it’s associated to you.”
With daggers in her eyes, Michelle fired back: “Her name’s not battered sausage… is it?”
Fans were living for the drama. “Cheryl Cole is fucking savage lmao she dragged Michelle,” tweeted one fan, while another wrote: “The shade between Cheryl and Michelle was worth the TV license fee alone.”
To all the Cheryl and Michelle stans out there: don’t worry. There’s no drama. There’s no conflama.
Cheryl made it very clear that she respects Michelle, tweeting before the episode: “I had so much fun being on the panel of Drag Race UK alongside the amazing RuPaul, Michelle Visage and Graham Norton.”
When a fan asked Michelle why she “hated” Cheryl, she told them “it’s telly” and clarified that they “actually love each other”. She later responded to Cheryl’s tweet, joking: “You were amazing. I love when I get sassed ESPECIALLY by my Cheryl.”
Drag Race UK airs every Thursday on BBC Three. The first five episodes are now available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
Next week, the top four queens will give their loved ones a drag makeover. Chewing Gum star Michaela Coel will make her judging panel debut, while Alan Carr will return after a two-week absence.
