The follow-up to Pixar’s acclaimed super-powered comedy will hit US cinemas on 14 June.

The Incredibles 2 has received another witty, action-packed super-trailer, and this time, we see the return of breakout character and legendary diva/icon, Edna Mode.

In the new trailer, Elastigirl, Mr Incredible, Violet and Dash attempt to navigate day-to-day life with their superhero abilities, whilst baby of the family, Jack-Jack, develops some unusual powers of his own.

Oh, and because this is a superhero film, a dangerous new villain emerges, threatening to destroy the Parr family for good. How nice!

This time, however, Elastigirl appears to be the prominent ass-kicker, with Mr Incredible staying home to look after the kids.

The first film – The Incredibles (2004) – was released to universal acclaim from critics and audiences, making $633 million at the worldwide box office. It also received Best Animated Feature and Best Sound Editing at the 77th Academy Awards, becoming Pixar’s first movie to win multiple Oscars.
